Method | Description | Defined By |
---|---|---|
addError() | Adds an error about the specified attribute to the active record. | CValidator |
getModel() | Given active record class name returns new model instance. | CUniqueValidator |
isEmpty() | Checks if the given value is empty. | CValidator |
validateAttribute() | Validates the attribute of the object. | CUniqueValidator |
whether the attribute value can be null or empty. Defaults to true, meaning that if the attribute is empty, it is considered valid.
the ActiveRecord class attribute name that should be used to look for the attribute value being validated. Defaults to null, meaning using the name of the attribute being validated.
whether the comparison is case sensitive. Defaults to true. Note, by setting it to false, you are assuming the attribute type is string.
the ActiveRecord class name that should be used to look for the attribute value being validated. Defaults to null, meaning using the class of the object currently being validated. You may use path alias to reference a class name here.
additional query criteria. Either an array or CDbCriteria. This will be combined with the condition that checks if the attribute value exists in the corresponding table column. This array will be used to instantiate a CDbCriteria object.
the user-defined error message. The placeholders "{attribute}" and "{value}" are recognized, which will be replaced with the actual attribute name and value, respectively.
whether this validation rule should be skipped if when there is already a validation error for the current attribute. Defaults to true.
protected CActiveRecord getModel(string $className)
| ||
$className | string | active record class name. |
{return} | CActiveRecord | active record model instance. |
protected function getModel($className)
{
return CActiveRecord::model($className);
}
Given active record class name returns new model instance.
protected void validateAttribute(CModel $object, string $attribute)
| ||
$object | CModel | the object being validated |
$attribute | string | the attribute being validated |

$this->addError($object,$attribute,$message,array('{value}'=>$value));
}
}
Validates the attribute of the object. If there is any error, the error message is added to the object.
Check in many tables
You can check the attribute to be unique in many tables. I have an attribute called idPerfil to generate urls like:
arenalesvive.com.ar/my.company
arenalesvive.com.ar/paul.vity
class PerfilEmpresa extends Perfil{ public function rules(){ array('idPerfil', 'unique', 'className'=> 'PerfilEmpresa'), array('idPerfil', 'unique', 'className'=> 'PerfilPersona'), } } class PerfilPersona extends Perfil{ public function rules(){ array('idPerfil', 'unique', 'className'=> 'PerfilEmpresa'), array('idPerfil', 'unique', 'className'=> 'PerfilPersona'), } }
cFormModel
If you have cFormModel return error: xy and its behaviors do not have a method or closure named "getDbConnection". You can specify model class in unique array and problem slove.
public function rules() { return array ( array('email','required'), array('email','email'), array('email','unique', 'className' => 'Users'), array('email','length','min'=>3,"max"=>32), ); }
Validation rules issues when using model's attribute as additional parameters
You may get into trouble when using model's attributes as additional parameters for validators. Take a look at: https://github.com/yiisoft/yii/issues/3001
<?php class MyCFormModel extends CFormModel { public function validate($attributes = null, $clearErrors = true, $recreateValidators = true) { if ($clearErrors) $this->clearErrors(); if ($this->beforeValidate()) { foreach ($this->getValidators(null,$recreateValidators) as $validator) $validator->validate($this, $attributes); $this->afterValidate(); return !$this->hasErrors(); } else return false; } public function getValidators($attribute = null, $recreateValidators = false) { if (parent::getValidators() === null || $recreateValidators) { $_validators = $this->createValidators(); } else $_validators = parent::getValidators(); $validators = array(); $scenario = $this->getScenario(); foreach ($_validators as $validator) { if ($validator->applyTo($scenario)) { if ($attribute === null || in_array($attribute, $validator->attributes, true)) $validators[] = $validator; } } return $validators; } } ?>
