The package provides:

• StringHelper that has static methods to work with strings;
• NumericHelper that has static methods to work with numeric strings;
• Inflector provides methods such as toPlural() or toSlug() that derive a new string based on the string given;

The package provides methods to encode and decode JSON.

• It always throws \JsonException instead of returning false on error.
• It has sensible defaults, so you don't have to specify flags all the time.
• It has handy method to encode for HTML safely.

First version of yiisoft/auth standalone package was released.

The package provides various authentication methods, a set of abstractions to implement in your application, and a PSR-15 middleware to authenticate an identity. Out of the box it provides HTTP basic authentication, HTTP bearer authentication, custom HTTP header authentication, query parameter authentication, and composite authentication that combines multiple methods. It is possible to add your own authentication methods.

This package provides an interface for checking checking if certain user has certain permission. Optional parameters could be passed for fine-grained access checks.

We are very pleased to announce the release of ElasticSearch extension version 2.1.0.

This is the first stable release with support for ElasticSearch from version 5 to current version 7.

We have switched to GitHub actions for testing it. Extension is tested on PHP 5.6 - PHP 7.4 and ElasticSearch 5.6.16, 6.8.9, and 7.7.0.

Version 2.0.36 is an interesting release.

• A big part of it is MSSQL-related fixes made by @DarkDef. Additionally to these, he added MSSQL tests to GitHub actions pipeline so what's covered by tests won't break anymore.
• Regressions in ArrayHelper::getValue() and EachValidator from last release were fixed.
• Mutex::isAcquired() was added so you can check if mutex is acquired without acquiring it.
• jQuery 3.5.0 compatibility was declared so this version can now be used.

Yii 2 Composer plugin that handles many extension-related things behind the scenes, was updated to support parallel unzipping introduced in upcoming Composer 2.

Update should not require any specific actions to be performed except issuing composer update command.

First version of yiisoft/aliases standalone package was released.

The package aim is to store path aliases, i.e. short name representing a long path (a file path, a URL, etc.). Path alias value may have another value as its part. For example, @vendor may store path to vendor directory while @bin may store @vendor/bin.
