We have optimized Yii for the upcoming 1.0.1 release. Compared with 1.0.0, the new version is improved by 10 to 80 percent in the maximum RPS. This further widens the performance gap between Yii and other frameworks! Please check out the performance comparison page, which was updated to include the latest versions of other frameworks.
Wei used his expertise on search and added site-wide searching capability to our website. It allows us to search for four types of information (forum, guide, class reference and extension) using a single unified interface! And the searching is done in just a glimpse of time.

We are proud to announce that the first stable release of Yii is now available!
Thank you all for your feedback, suggestions and help during Yii's public testing period. We believe this release has reached to a state that allows Yii to be used in a production environment. And we are committed to ensure backward compatibility in future service packs.
Over the previous RC release, we added four new components in this formal release: CTabView, CStarRating, CUploadedFile, CFileValidator. We also added many minor enhancements to individual components and fixed several reported issues.
Please make sure you read the upgrade instructions if you are upgrading from earlier versions. We are eager to hear your feedback on Yii. Please report to us if you find any issues.

The extension repository system is now ready. You may share your Yii extensions with others using this system. Please let us know if you have suggestions or find any problems using this system.
