Yii team is international, it consists of awesome developers from Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Chile, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Poland, Netherlands, US and more.
Team members were shocked when it all started. Noone expected it, noone believed it.
A month passed and consequences are disasterous: the world changed forever, Ukrainians are fighting for their lives and future, Russians are experiencing huge pressure both from their own country and the world. Many are leaving their homes and their previous lives seeking at least some degree of safety.
We all want it to be stopped as soon as possible. We stand for peace, we stand for people.
Team members ¶
We're in the constant contact with past and current team members. So far majority of the team are safe. One exception is @yiiliveext
who is not online since late February. We hope he's alive and safe.
Framework development ¶
Despite everything, framework development isn't stopped. We see OpenSource as something better, something that still can unite us, something that we all still have in common and something we believe in. Of course, not everyone from the team is able to contribute right now so development pace isn't as it was before but we're both moving forward with Yii3 and supporting Yii2 and Yii1.
Foundation ¶
Russians are unable to contribute to OpenCollective anymore, Russian team members are unable to be funded via OpenCollective but we need your support for international team members as never before. If you always wanted to contribute donating to the fund, there's no time better than now.
