Version 7.0.0 of Yii View package is released. There are some additions and a few backwards incompatible changes:

• Changed return type of immutable methods in ViewInterface from self to static;
• Raised minimum PHP version to ^8.0;
• Added support for yiisoft/html of version ^3.0.

Version 6.0.0 of View package is released. This version adds ViewInterface::withLocale(), ViewInterface::withBasePath() and support for yiisoft/files version 2.0.

There are two renamings as well so adjust your code if necessary:

• ViewInterface::setLanguage() → ViewInterface::setLocale()
• ViewInterface::withSourceLanguage() → ViewInterface::withSourceLocale()

Version 5.0.0 of View package is released. There a few bugs fixed, some additions and a few backwards incompatible changes:

1. New and adjusted methods in ViewInterface.
2. Some methods became mutating instead of immutable since it is desired behavior considering sub-views and layout.
3. A simple view context class, ViewContext, was added.
