Qwentès Italia (www.qwentes.it) is urgently looking for a Senior Backend developer willing to relocate to Milan, Italy for 3 months to take part in the development of an enterprise publishing solution for digital media. We are an established digital agency, operating since 2002 in both Italy and abroad with top tier clients.

The position we are looking to fill is for a 3 month period starting immediately. We will provide travel and housing in Milan and offer competitive compensation. Candidates must have Schengen working papers.

- Solid PHP5 OOP expertise
- Excellent MVC pattern development knowledge
- Solid experience developing over a primary MVC php framework (Yii framework knowledge a plus)
- Experience with complex scalable high-load distributed architectures
- Modularization
- Web services
- LAMP stack
- MySql modeling and advanced usage (administration, performance optimization, replication a plus)
- Test driven development
- Ability to identify simple/best solutions to overcoming problems
- Experience with Varnish a plus
- Git knowledge
- *NIX scripting / administration
- nginx knowledge a plus
- Rbac knowledge
- Nested sets knowledge
- Web size performances optimization best practices
- Cloud computing knowledge a plus
- Experience with caching engines (Apc, memcached, etc...)
- Application profiling and bottle necks identification experience
- Able to document code and programming structure in a concise and easy to understand manner
- Other languages (ruby, python, java) a plus
