Pronouncing Yii

First of all I'm excited to get into Yii and play around. I love what you guys did with Prado and can't wait to see what you've done here with Yii.

On the homepage you say "The name Yii (pronounced as [i:])…" What the heck does "[i:]" sound like? I have no idea.

It sounds like the letter E.

As I assumed. Thanks for the clarification. So why do I think about Nintendo each time I look at that name? 

Yeah, it’s inspired by Wii.  You see we all play games.
