Hi,
We’re currently seeking a Web Programmer to complete our site upgrade project. Both back and front end work will be required. The job is listed (privately) on oDesk.com, through which we prefer to run our projects. As a new poster here, I can’t embed links in this message, so here’s the text of the job description:
The Overview:
We have a link directory for homemade tools based on an existing PHP/MySQL backend. Over the last several months, we’ve been in the midst of a comprehensive overhaul and update of the site. Toward that end, we’ve compiled a set of detailed specifications/tasks and we require a talented programmer to help us complete the project.
We’re very interested in establishing a long-term relationship, as we fully expect our needs (and code) to evolve over time. There will be regular, on-going work for the right party.
The Tech:
-
Linux-oriented
-
Apache
-
MySQL
-
PHP5 (Object-Oriented PHP)
-
Yii-framework
-
Site is hosted on Rackspace Cloud
The Details:
Our system is currently functioning and many of our required updates have already been implemented. We’re looking for someone to bring the balance of the project to a successful and timely conclusion. Hourly productivity will be monitored with third-party audits.
The successful candidate’s first order of business will be to:
-
Review the existing code
-
Review our list of additional features/functionality
-
Generate as accurate an initial time estimate as possible
Although the initial task will be the completion of our updated interface (both front & back end work will be required), our intention is that the selected programmer will become a long-term member of our team. He will be responsible, as time goes by, for fixing bugs, modifying & upgrading features, and implementing changes as our needs continue to evolve. In plain terms, it will be directly to his own advantage to write efficient, flexible, and bug-free code.
If this sounds like you, we’re looking forward to your application!
We’re looking to move quickly to identify the right coder and begin work. If this job is your sort of project, I’d like to hear from you today.
Regards,
Ken
