PHP Web Application Developer – up to 3 Month Contract East Melbourne
Essential
• 3+ years commercial experience
• PHP 5 with outstanding OO skills
• Experience with YII (Preferable), Codeigniter, Symphony, Zend or similar MVC framework
• MySQL 5 with excellent SQL and performance skills
• Sound understanding of relational database concepts and implementation
• Fluent in standards based HTML and CSS
• Ability to write degradable JavaScript – jQuery preferred
• Knowledge & understanding of using/connecting to api’s (eg. twitter, facebook, payment processing)
• Excellent attention to detail
Nice to have
• CMS experience (Silverstripe, Wordpress)
• Impressive portfolio of personal or open-source projects
• Understanding other server side development languages (.Net, Ruby, Python)
• Track record of test-driven development
• Comprehension of front-end standards, best-practices, and technologies
• The ability to overcome roadblocks and create workarounds to technical and or business hurdles.
• Understanding/Experience using version control (Git, SVN)
• Working knowledge of various eCommerce gateways
• Understanding of Unit testing
