hello world application issue

I made the following change in the MessageController.php

class MessageController extends Controller

{

public function actionHelloworld()


{


	$theTime = date("D M j G:i:s T Y");


            $this->render('helloWorld',array('time'=>$theTime));





}

and following change in helloworld.php

$this->breadcrumbs=array(

'Message'=>array('message/index'),

<h3><?php echo $time; ?></h3>

to display time.

but it throws the following exception:
