I put together this web site for my church, Presbury United Methodist Church, using Yii 1.1.6 and SQLite. My web hosting company didn’t support the PHP extensions for MySQL.

A fellow Methodist! I like your site, though I would change the background from the #C80400… its pretty harsh on the eyes to have that much red on the screen.

Thanks for the comments.

I worked from the red and black on the cross in the header. The red appears to help people focus on the text, and it stands out from the pastel colors of most church web sites.

Do you have a suggestion for a different background color?

Suggestion:

Overall Body background: #222222 would help frame the content, especially on wide screen monitors. I think that one change alone would be sufficient .
