Also, I don't think the project is dead, but it seems it's not open source.

Yep! Google is G~~awesome :D

The gpl is included and in some of the file headers. It's fair game ;)

I still need to install it, if i like I'm gonna tey tobyrack down the owner and ask for a change of license.

However, even if it does work, support is suspect!

For everybody searching professional CMS (in terms of large community, enterprise level, world wide acceptance and in use by big companies, scalable, certification programm and so on) check out Typo3

The learning curve of Typo3 is harder than Joomla or Drupal (did not know that wordpress is considered CMS ;) ) but you get a far more professional system.
