Private Files folder

Is there any way to have a private folder for uploads images. For example if i want to save images for bills, I do not want to have them in a public url like /uploads/FILENAME.jpg. My idea is create a folder in the root path (@app) but i can not show them. One solution is create a temporary file to show it o create a restriction with htaccess for images folder.

If you want to hide real image path or directory, you need to create custom url script to display image like this -

It is a good option but uploads folder continuous in a public link, isn`t it?
