Using Yii2 as product

Hi everbody,

I have just met with yii2. I had cms project coded flat php that is sold close-source with domain and hosting. Now Im planning to move this project to yii2. I read bsd license but have no clear idea. This is the question, can I use commercially yii2 in my cms project without sharing source codes that served on my servers or give my customers by encoded with like ioncube tools? As I got it, I can do this but how can retain licence? Where?

Yes, you can do it. The only restrictions are:

  • Use contributors’ names, logos or trademarks.

  • Software is released without warranty and the software/license owner cannot be charged for damages.
