We are very pleased to announce the immediate availability of Yii Framework version 1.1.16. You can download it from the Yii project site at

Good work guys! A much anticipated release for all of us that have legacy applications using the 1.1 branch.
... Morpheus: What is "real"? How do you define "real"? If you 're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then "real" is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain...

It's good to see that v1 is still improved and new features are added, even though v2 is now almost production ready.

I am using Yii since it's very beginning and I would like to take the opportunity to express my thankfulness to the core team as well as to all contributors and the community. I hope you have some restful days.
