would u please put me as Portuguese translator?
We are calling for your help to translate various components of Yii into the languages listed below. Since this requires tremendous long-term effort from our community, we created a new Google project named yiidoc to manage the process.
If you are willing to participate, please PM me with your gmail account, the language to you want to translate, and the component(s) that you want to work on. Currently we have the following components to be translated:
- core framework messages
- system view files
- requirement checker view files and messages
- the Definitive Guide to Yii
- the Yii blog tutorial
Thank you very much!
The following members have generously offered help to work on the translation:

Bulgarian: penkomitev

Has anybody looked at how the Cake dudes are doing their documentation/translation?
They actually wrote an engine (about 2 years ago) which handles all the pages and languages. If the translation is out-dated, the translated page or paragraph will get a WARNING message, seen by everybody that something has changed in the original copy of the document, so be aware.
I think we'd need something like this because the popularity of Yii is growing bigger and bigger every day
Just an idea. Thoughts?
The maker rests. The wheel’s in motion.

In addition, I'd mark each documentation page as to which framework version they are suitable for.
So foreigners won't give up when they see outdated docs only because they believe it's invalid. (They could be directed to the changelog to see the differences, though.)

I've already implemented it at yiiframework.ru. Can share source code if needed.
