Hello everyone.
First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Arnau Aregall. I am a 20 year old web and mobile developer from Torelló, Barcelona, Spain.
I got introduced to Yii at work as first job on the last December. I had no idea of the existence of this awesome and powerful framework. I had to deal with it “because at work they started the project with it”… 
I found it quite difficult at the very start, but at the same time I was studying MVC patterns, so it came to me absolutely in the right moment at the right time. Currently I am working on other 3 projects, and I’ll implement Yii as the main base for my web applications (one is a REST based API).
After all that pretty useless stuff I told you, I’ll come to the point of this topic. 
I have seen that there are translations for many languages (which is great!), including Catalan (my native language), but only for basic translations, like time, days, months, countries… (can be found at
/myProject/yii/framework/i18n/data/ca.php
file).
One of the projects I mentioned above, will use Catalan as main language. But surprisingly, no
ca/
folder under
/myProject/yii/framework/messages/
.
What I did is simple: I fully translated all the English key-value arrays on the files
yii.php
and
zii.php
to Catalan. 
I love my native language, and I did not like the option to get my application showing error messages in English/Spanish (felt really unprofessional). That is why I did it.
