A second edition of this Yii book has now been released. This new edition, which is titled Web Application Development With Yii And PHP, brings this first edition up-to-date with version 1.1.12 of the Yii framework. In addition to a change in the book title, there are many other changes and additions that differentiate it from the first edition. Visit the book's site for more details.

Is there an 'upgrade' price for people who bought the first ebook?

I do not know the answer to this question at this time, but I am definitely going to push for that to be the case. I am just now starting communications with the person at Packt publishing in charge of the marketing efforts for this book. I will certainly post an update when I have one. Also it certainly won't hurt if you send email communication directly to them requesting this.
