I am looking to put together a PGP key server with a modern interface, essentially to replicate the functionality at: http://pgp.mit.edu/ , for example. If you look at the interface there, this is sorely lacking in anything resembling "Web 2.0".
To start, this would simply involve submission of a public key, contact information if they desire, possibly a personal photo, and the ability for them to share a link to their publicly available key in their email signature (mypgpkey.net/bobsmith, for example). We can talk about a future feature list (LDAP interactions, offering private "in-house" keyservers to private businesses, searchability of public users, etc.)
It is important that you have experience with:
-
At least cursory personal use and understanding of public key cryptography, PGP/GnuPG and public key servers.
-
jQuery, AJAX interactions
-
Yii, of course
It would be nice if you had experience with or a willingness to learn:
-
Git/GitHub
-
PHPDoc
-
PHPUnit
-
Linux servers
-
YiiBoilerPlate http://www.yiiframework.com/wiki/374/yiiboilerplate-setup-a-professional-project-structure-in-seconds/
-
Implementing multiple language options in Yii.
Can start on this now, or if you’re in the middle of other projects, in a few weeks. Hourly rate negotiable. Work is completely telecommuting/Skype/email. If interested, please send me a private message and we’ll go from there.
Best,
Scott
