And here's my first suggestion:
"a fast, rock solid and secure open source PHP framework made to achieve more with less code"

The "more with less" stuff is hackneyed... http://www.google.com/search?q="more+with+less"

My proposal:

Like a tuxedo for PHP, it's the slim and elegant framework to enhance your code shape.

:D

Oh my ...

Yii Framework - A Climax in PHP Programming
Created by the most talented PHP programmers mankind has brought forth, forged under the critical eyes of a thousand enterprise architects in a flame of ingenuity and progress so bright, Helios himself would turn his eyes away, Hephaestos couldn't stand its heat. Combining the experiences out of the last decade of PHP programming and the latest proven and stable design patterns, the Yii framework is best suited to bring your project to a new era of prosperity and progress.

Yii suits every man and woman's needs, scaling from small and insignificant projects to large and enterprisey projects, allowing you to be always on the advance. No matter what the purpose of your application is - a blog, a CMS, an ERP or total world domination - rest assured, Yii is there to assist you. Backed by a community of professionals who are willing and able to provide you with resources, manpower and code, bringing the framework closer to your actual needs, Yii will bring your project forward with the power of a million suns.

While societies might tremble, empires may fall appart and stars are sure to die, Yii will prevail. All Hail Yii!

Hm, I see. Maybe "streamlining" is an alternative:

a fast, solid and secure open source framework made for streamlining development

Don't know if that's how you would say that in English.

@Da:sourcerer: short, to the point and not that exaggerated as all the other posts, thanks! ;)

Oh, but I enjoyed it.
I admit that it might not be suitable for the official site of Yii, but what if it's on YouTube?

I would like to hear some fast speaking stylish announcer yelling out this apocalyptic manifesto with a spectacular video and a gorgeous orchestra music !! ;D

From time to time, I feel the desire to express something overly dramatic, bringing back the pathos in pathetic. Or something like that

Da:Sourcerer - you're Da:Man!
Would be beyond cool if they had the guts to put what you wrote on the Yii front page!

I read Ember's yesterday. I liked the "for creating ambitious web applications" bit. The rest is a bit blah.

Ember is a JavaScript framework for creating ambitious web applications that eliminates boilerplate and provides a standard application architecture.

Yii - become a lean, mean coding machine
Yii - providing rock solid foundation for your reach to the stars projects
Yii - your flashlight in the dark tunnel of PHP programming
Yii - too great to have a marketing tagline

YII: Program less - get more

Program could be changed to Write|Code|Whatever...

But I know...the less/more thing is overused... :P

YII: Save Time = Save Money

Two meanings
1. Development - Less code, do more than others => Save development time = Save Money
2. Performance - It fast => Save process time = Save Money

I don't have a particular "motto", but the one that made me look at first to Yii two years ago was the "Performance" word.
