Yii Radiio Podcast

hello,

I’m proud (and excited) to announce the first episode of the Yii Radiio, a PHP podcast, focusing on this excellent framework.

This is a pilot episode, so nothing is set in stone. I’m planning a bi-weekly release, depending on the activity of the forum and the community.

Please, give me some feedback, let it be either good or bad, so I can make it better and more fun.

If you have any suggestions, don’t hesitate, let me know. I need Yii powered websites, great plug-ins or components, success stories etc…

The site with the show notes is here: http://yiiradiio.mehesz.net

And the first episode is available here: http://yiiradiio.meh…ds/episode1.mp3

Thanks,

–iM

Very nice job! Are you professional at making podcasts?

One minor suggestion: maybe you could be closer to the microphone so that your voice can be heard in full. Everything else sounds great to me. I am surprised at how well you organize all those contents happening recently. Thanks!

Let’s duplicate this thread in our native language. ;)

hello,

thanks, guys! This is my first time “broadcasting” and hopefully, with time, it will get better and better :)

[qiang] I’ve been running a tech-blog since '07 so that’s where my organization skills are coming from ;)

thanks again for the feedback …

You referred to my website in the show as nyugtalanverponthu, but considering the target audience it’d have been better to say nyugtalanverdothu. :) Never mind, I’m quite sure noone will check that out. I said just to kindly inform you.

Thanks for your outstanding work!

[pessta] - haHA you’re right :) the Hungarian “confused” me :)

Great job!

hello,

sorry guys, I forgot some very important links from the show notes

including the site of the week, which is: http://www.openwebgraphics.com

Nice to see you’ve finally implemented iTunes feed. :)

yes, iTunes is there.

However, I just realized that apple (iTunes) won’t give me any stats, only feedburner, so I’ll have no idea how many listeners the podcast will have :(

Really, really nice! Since my english is not perfect (I’m kazakh) I can understand 90% of information there.

Hello,

Episode Nr. 4 is up. This is, by far, the longest episode - more than 7 mins! Wooo … I mean Yii! :)

I changed my recording technique to make the quality better.

Let me know what you think!

I feel honored, thank you very much qiang.

Hello,

I just "aired" Episode Nr. 5.

Also, received some feedbacks, so I’ll work on those for the next podcast ;)

Hi,

Episode Nr. 6 is available for download.

I think I reached the best quality I can do with my tools at this point. I know it is still not “crystal” clear (far from it), but I’ll work on that as soon as I can :)

Hi imehesz,

and again congratulation !! good and intresting podcast (you’re enthusiam for yii is a little bit …scary … I mean the sound effect was :D)

Your site is nice too but I have a little comment : is it on purpose that you’ve decided to hide hyper-link by giving them a bold face like some other text ? … no underline, no special color, you really have too look for them and I’m sure I missed some ;)

ciao
