[newbie] Adding form to main page

Hello,

First of all a disclaimer: I’m totally new to Yii and not too experienced with PHP either. I’m here just to try and learn some basic development skills as a hobby. And frankly, it seems quite a challenge! :slight_smile:

So far I’ve managed to create my DB and a few sample pages. Now I’d like to add a form to enter data in the DB right from the main (home) page of the site. I have no idea how to do that and I’d appreciate it if somebody could guide me through the process.

i think you should learn the gii .

why not read the Yii guide firstly . :D
