he point of the topic is to find a common mixture of modules and extensions that don't define the app but yet all apps employ.

Basicaly what would you define a skeleton for Yii which would be simar to twitter's bootstrap for CSS.

  • a wysiwyg-editor
  • a mailer component
  • an image thumbnail generator
  • an icon library (fatcow, famfamfam)

Do use the icons as sprites? In a current project I'm using tango :) it also has svg files!
