Yii and static pages

i don’t understand what static pages are

they support PHP like other page, what the differences?

They have basic Contents. No Call to database etc.

ok, and there is any difference in performance in use it?

eg. using same basic content in static pages and normal page?

I think the fastest page is a page in html. Because is html. A php page, before is php and then is html. A php page that use database information… use more resources. I think is slowest. But we are talking of difference of milliseconds for thousands pages.
