Area51 is like the try-out of a new Q&A site. The very popular (and probably well known here as well as there are already quite a few Yii tagged questions on there) StackOverflow was the start of the StackExchange network and since then people have been able to make suggestions regarding new Q&A sites for Android developers, Server admins, people learning Chinese, etc.
All of those started on Area51 to get a critical mass going (enough motivated users/good questions/clear answers) before going live.
The advantage over the current Yiianswers is the fact that all of the StackExchange sites are connected (I assume many here already have a StackOverflow account for instance), the fact that the software is incredibly well made and constantly updated (it's what they do) and we don't have to worry about server issues or hackers like you've already encountered.
Also, since you have Yiianswers up and running again (nice work!), we could use the best questions and answers to get the basic requirements quite quickly!

Their suggestion is to use StackOverflow as the main website for Yii related questions by using the Yii tags instead of a different website, which I can actually understand and see the advantages of.
@Antonio: have you used StackOverflow before you started yiianswers? Can I ask what your reasoning was for having a separate website? Just being curious

The idea of having an specialized Yii dedicated questions and aswers was very appealing. I really would like to do one built on Yii... but don't have time

As for Yii... Yii core code is secure as is checked constantly by anybody working on it... but this does not meant at all that nobody can get into your site... as that depends on other circumstances... like the way you write your code (you can create an exploit)... or the hosting company... or even your email (or any other resource) security as if somebody gets the hold of your email account then he can get access to your server/website too...

This is all still relatively new so I'll watch to see what happens, and I'll try to post and answer on Yiianswers.com as well as other sites too. Great job, would obviously love to have seen it done in Yii, but only because that would be a great, visible illustration of the things Yii can do - though I would have probably done it in WP or Drupal too).
Good luck
