Joomla template emulator ?

Hi is it possible to create a yii cms that can accept joomla templates without any modification to the templates? Something like an emulator or middle tier API.

Any ideas how to go about? Is it even possible or viable?

Wordpress is possible, but performance very bad, Joomla theoretically possible, i think performance will 2 or 3 times worst!
