When I started working with Yii a while back I found that my new OS X Server did not come with one of the components needed for Captcha as used by the Yii email example. So I spent a good bit of time off and on getting Captcha to work, and documented that effort. It was not a trivial effort…
Installing the components was a very lengthy, and time consuming effort, so I wrote an installer that automated the entire process. I included the installer as a download with the documented solution. All it requires is one double click and the installer does the rest.
