This widget encapsulates the textbox hinter-jQuery plugin. Jquery textbox hinter is plugin which allows to add hints to textboxes and textareas. Acts as a complete replacement for labels.

Yii 1.1.6 or above...

questions

  1. why not use the html placeholder tag?

  2. what about mobile browsers, screen readers, web crawlers, or those with javascript turned off?

this doesn't seem to follow progressive enhancement
